Bowen Designs Dr. Strange Mini Bust Artist Proof
Released in 2002 and sculpted by Thomas Kuntz. This Dr. Strange Mini Bust is a limited edition run of only 5000 worldwide. This one is an extremely rare Artist Proof of which Bowen Designs only offered a handful. Marvel's master of the mystic arts first cast his spell on readers in a July 1963 strange tale by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Stephen Strange was an accomplished neurosurgeon whose ego equaled his expertise. When an auto accident shattered his career, the distraught physician sought enlightenment from the Tibetan wizard called the Ancient One. Appalled by the treachery of the warlock's disciple Baron Mordo, Doctor Strange committed himself to fighting evil with magic and became the Ancient One's Pupil. Upon his master's passing, Doctor Strange's ascended into the role of sorcerer supreme, commanding his occult skills in struggles against Mordo, Dormammu, and otherworldly menaces. Abetted by the all-seeing Eye of Agamotto, the Cloak of Levitation, and his bewitching wife Clea, Doctor Strange recently refined his preternatural powers and has rejoined his tentative teammates the Hulk and Sub-Mariner as the Defenders.
