The paradoxical Mystery conjured into comics by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, first confounded Spider-Man in June of 1964 in the Web-Singer's unlucky thirteenth issue. Before computer-generated special effects dominated the movie industry, former Hollywood stuntman Quentin Beck utilized stage gimmicks and holographic projectionsto great success as a master of SFX.
