Originally released in 2005 and limited to 3000 pieces, this Mystique Mini Bust is noted on the bottom of the base as a rare Artist Proof. The menacing metamorph called Mystique first appeared in june 1978 issue of Ms. Marvel. During her youth, Raven Darkholme used her shape-shifting ability to hide among humans, but her true mutant nature was revealed to a fearful public once she gave birth to a freakish Kurt Wagner, now known as Nightcrawler of the X-Men. Originally committed to brokering harmony between humans and mutants, Darkholme was forced to choose sides due to rampant prejudice among the two races. And thus she became Mystique, the mutant terrorist with a vendetta against homo sapiens.
