Bowen Designs Silver Age Iron Man Painted Statue Artist Proof

Released in 1999 and sculpted by Randy Bowen. This Silver Age Iron Man mini bust is a limited edition run of only 4000 worldwide. This one is a very rare Artist Proof of which only a handful exist. Iron Man, the creation of Stan Lee, Lary Lieber, Jack Kirby and Don Heck, forced his way into the Marvel Universe in March, 1963. Industrialist Tony Stark seemed to have it all: immense wealth, good looks, business acumen and technological genius. But his prosperity was tainted by a damaged heart. Constructing a suit of armor to act as a life support unit, Stark became the high tech hero known as Iron Man, and soon proved his mettle by vanquishing adversaries such as the malevolent Mandarin, the Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man.
