Bowen Designs Blob Mini Bust
Released in 2010 and sculpted by Jeremy Lloyd & Randy Bowen. This Blob Mini Bust is a limited edition run of only 500 worldwide. This one is a very rare Marvel Sample of which Bowen Designs only offered a handful. Frederick J. Dukes - AKA the Blob - first squeezed his way into the pages of Marvel Comics in X-Men #3 (January, 1964). When readers initially encountered Dukes, his protuberant plight as circus sideshow freak weighed heavily on their consciences. But only for the first few pages, as Dukes' nasty disposition quickly bounced to the surface, thereby dispelling any pity for the meaty mutant. A bully by nature, Dukes possesses extremely pliable, blubber-like skin that is very difficult to penetrate. He also possesses superhuman strength and remarkable agility for a man of his size. Perhaps most impressive, the Blob is capable of altering the gravity field beneath him, thereby making himself virtually immovable (as long as he remains in contact with the ground). With this arsenal of abilities, the Blob is one opponent that many heroes have underestimated, much to their sorrow.
