Bowen Designs Kurse Mini Bust
Released in 2009 and sculpted by Rick Force & Ulises Cantu. This Kurse is a limited edition run of only 1000 worldwide. This one is numbered and also noted as a very rare Marvel Sample on the bottom of the base of only which a handful exist. Born in darkness and reborn in fire, the powerhouse known as Kurse (Real Name: Algrim the Strong) started out as an enemy of Asgard, but ultimately became defender of the Golden Realm's greatest treasure. As told in The Mighty Thor #347 (September 1984), Malekith the Dark Elf charged Algrim with stopping Thor's assault on the stronghold of the Dark Elves. However, the treacherous Malekith, paying no heed to Algrim's safety, opened a pit upon which the two combatants stood. Down the endless pit they fell, toward a pool of molten lava and certain doom. Algrim survived thanks to his enchanted armor and after the beyonder enhanced his strength to early double Thor's sought the god of thunder for revenge.
