Bowen Designs Mimic Mini Bust
Released in 2008 and sculpted by Sam Greenwell & Dan Cope. This Mimic Mini Bust is a limited edition run of only 1500 worldwide. This one is a very rare Marvel Sample of which Bowen Designs only offered a handful. The non-mutant copycat known as Mimic (Real Name: Calvin Rankin) first tread into the lives of Marvel's Merry Mutants in X-Men #19 (April 1966). The son of a scientist Ronald Rankin, Calvin was exposed to a unique chemical concoction that resulted in him gaining the ability to temporarily copy, or mimic, all of the knowledge, skills, physical attributes, and superpowers, of anyone within ten feet of where he was. After his father was killed in an effort to cure him of this (under the guise of attempting to make his son's powers everlasting). Calvin struck upon the idea of seeking out the X-Men in order to make their powers his own forever.
