Bowen Designs The Mandarin Mini Bust
Released in 2007 and sculpted by Rick Force. This Mandarin is a limited edition run of only 1800 worldwide. This one is a very rare Marvel Sample of which Bowen Designs only offered a handful. The devious arch-villain known as The Mandarin began ring-slinging during his first appearance in Tales of Suspense #50 (February 1964). The Mandarin was born in pre-revolutionary China to an English noblewoman and a wealthy Chinese Man (who may have been a direct descedant of Ghenghis Khan), but was raised by his paternal aunt, who instilled in him an arrogance and resentment toward society. As an adult, The Mandarin became a high ranking and renowned government official until losing his title, home and fortune due to the Chinese Communist Revolution, ultimately leading him to become the villain known as The Mandarin. He stands 6 inces tall.
